Prairie Style Home

Fayetteville, Arkansas

This single family home will be located on a heavily wooded lot, making it the ideal site for its prairie style inspiration. The client's love of E. Fay Jones, a local Arkansas architect who was also a student of Frank Lloyd Wright, was the genesis behind the style of the home. With a low pitched hip roof and deep overhanging eaves, strong horizontal lines are established. These are contrasted with regularly spaced vertical wood trim. The exterior materials will include a neutral stucco, horizontal tounge and groove Western Red Cedar siding and a dry stacked stone. At 2700 square feet, with four bedrooms, four full bathrooms and an open, airy family room off the kitchen, this will be a spacious and well appointed home for our client.

“Working with Kristin made my first experience designing a custom home both effortless and rewarding. She was quick to understand my overall vision for the home’s aesthetic and looked for every opportunity to incorporate style and practical functionality into the design. Kristin also displayed a commitment to client service, making herself available on a moment’s notice for the most simple to complex questions and support. I would recommend her to anyone looking for personalized attention and best-in-class architecture and design services.”
